Babies Names
Choosing babies names feels like such an awesome responsibility, doesn't it? Do you choose a popular baby name or unique baby name?
You should begin by searching on the Internet and looking though some baby name books and writing down any names that interest you. Perhaps you could take some time ro reflect on what your name means to you. Have you always liked your name? Does your spouse? Do you feel that your name is too different, or too plain?
It's ok if you don't know the meanings of names - you can look that up too. You may feel you want a popular baby name, or want to avoid that all together and go for a unique baby name. My husband and I liked the name Hannah, but thought it was too common, so we named our daughter "Hana", which means flower in Japanese. Since we had lived in Japan for three years, giving our daughter a Japanese name seemed like a natural fit to us.
Just remember to figure out what your baby's initials will be and also, my husband came up with the idea to figure out what their email address would be. (This is something our parents certainly never had to think about!) For example, if your last name is Art and you are thinking of naming your son Frank, well... his email address could end up being FArt@something.com one day! (Pardon my French...)
